Concetti North America Corp. have installed a complete flour bagging and palletizing system at US Durum Milling, St Louis, MO. The plant, owned by Italgrani USA, is the largest semolina and durum mill in North America.
Handling up to 1000 x 50lb bags per hour using two inclined-screw fed net weighers, the bagging line uses a Concetti IMF automatic filling and closing machine equipped with sewing and pinch top closing devices for pre-glued multi-wall paper bags.
Palletizing is by a Concetti four-column robot. Metal detection and check weighing is also included. Two Concetti bulk-bag lines handle 2000lb flexible containers of durum semolina/ flour and wheat. The lines were supplied via Bratney Companies, Des Moines, IA.
The line is constructed in 304 grade stainless steel, seamless, smoothed and cleaned welds on contact parts, generous access doors for cleaning and inspection, certified food quality rubber seals and gaskets, outrigger bearings with special seals on screw feeders, screw casings also supplied with cleaning and inspection doors.
