There is also the packaging technology of Concetti in the largest production plant in the world of POM. Kolon Basf innoPOM has inaugurated its new polyoxymethylene (POM) production plant in Korea. The new production with a capacity of 70,000 tonnes/year, combined with Kolon Plastics’s existing POM production capacity of 80,000 tonnes/year, creates the world’s largest POM production facility, with a total annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes/year. POM resins are engineering plastics used in complex and highly durable components.

Concetti has supplied four complete lines the packaging of that high quality plastics granules. The Italian manufacturer makes multifunctional weighing, filling, closing, palletising systems for packing plastic granules in bags. 

Roberto Borgarelli (on the left side in the picture), General Manager at Concetti, has received the supplier plant award during the inauguration ceremony at Gimcheon, Corea.

Concetti is proud to have contributed to this effort with its packaging and palletising technology.

Concetti recently celebrated a century of activity in manufacturing by inaugurating the expansion and modernization of their Bastia Umbra headquarters facility, a fully digital and interconnected industry 4.0 factory, where packaging and palletising systems for bulk products are produced and exported to over 60 countries worldwide.
The expansion will help to make Concetti more efficient and productive, in preparation for the supply and installation of new systems in the coming years.
The project represents a €5 million investment and will add over 8000 square metres to the plant, increasing both office and assembly space.
On September 15th, Teodoro and Giuseppe Concetti, owners of Concetti S.p.A with their sons Riccardo, Francesco and Emanuele, officially opened the new extension with more than 700 invited guests, symbolically embarking on the second centenary of manufacturing activity. A large delegation of agents from all over the world took part in the Concetti Centenary event.
After guided tours of the factory, a dinner party was held in the headquarters during which, the company's century long history was retraced and new challenges for the future launched.
From the first family workshop, started in 1918 by the blacksmith Domenico Concetti in Central Italy, carried on by Francesco Concetti and right up to the present day with Teodoro and Giuseppe who, since 1975, have consolidated the company's activities in packaging machinery.
In 2012 the company opened a subsidiary in the United States, Concetti North America Corp, based in Atlanta, Georgia and marking the beginning of a multi-year expansion project with the first overseas branch office.
Over the last 5 years, with the invaluable contribution of the fourth generation of the Concetti family, and thanks to forward looking and professional management, turnover has grown by 40% (to €38 million) and Concetti now enjoys an even more formidable reputation in the worldwide packaging industry.

Concetti has started work on the expansion and digital transformation of its headquarter in Bastia Umbra, Italy. The company design, manufactures and exports fully automatic machines and systems for packaging bulk products. Each project is tailored to the customer’s specific needs.

The 5 – million Euro investment is to satisfy increased demand for its automated packaging systems manufactured in Bastia Umbra and exported to more than 60 countries across the world. The expansion plan, aimed at both modernizing its headquarters and increasing the company’s manufacturing capacity, will improve its product and service provision to customers. In order to prepare for the installation of many more new systems in the coming years, the expansion will add an extra 58,000 square feet (5400 square meter) to the existing Concetti headquarters site.

The investment also concerns the digitization of production. Concetti will be a “smart factory” with integrated IT systems to simplify the manufacturing processes and increase efficiency. Greater emphasis on worker safety, improving energy consumption from renewable energy sources and better environment sustainability are also key to the project.

The company expects the expansion to be completed over the course of 2018. At present the site in Bastia Umbra employs close to 220 people. Concetti celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2018. The company was founded in 1918 for manufacturing agricultural equipment. The packaging equipment group was established in 1976.

Si chiuderanno nel giugno 2018 i lavori di ampliamento e ammodernamento del sito produttivo della Concetti di Bastia Umbra (Pg). Lo stabilimento della società passerà da una superficie di 8600 a 14000 metri quadrati, e sarà provvisto di tutte le più moderne tecnologie in chiave Industria 4.0. La fabbrica sarà dotata di infrastrutture automatizzate e sistemi digitalizzati e interconnessi, e saranno implementati tutti gli aspetti legati alla sostenibilità ambientale, alla sicurezza e salute dei lavoratori. L’investimento è di circa 5 milioni di euro.

From March 27-29 the latest developments in the animal feed, additives, acquafeed and petfood industries will be presented at Victam Asia 2018. The exhibition will take place from March 27-29, 2018 in the BITEC Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Concetti, one of the most important producers of machinery for the feedstuff and petfood sector and a supplier of turn key systems, will partecipate at Victam Asia to show the latest innovation in the packaging of dry bulk products. Flexibility will be once again the focus.

The Italian manufacturer of high quality packaging machinery has been providing complete bagging lines for over 40 years, offering the flexibility to handle a wide range of packs and closures, and the ability to switch rapidly from one product and pack size to another in less than 90 seconds. The fully automatic IGF bagging system, for example, is designed for any kind of open mouth bags from 2 to 50 kg: flat or gusseted, paper, coated paper, PE, aluminium, woven PP bags with or without handless, quad sealed laminated bags with pre-applied zipper. 
Flexibility then also concerns palletising. Concetti manufacture palletisers of every type (high and low level layer machines; single, two and four columns robots) and can therefore make recommendations based on the best machine for every application. Lastly, Concetti can now offer Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) as an option on its fully automatic bagging systems. This is designed to help animal feed producers offer the very best quality of product and improve profitability.

Concetti, Bastia Umbra, Italy, is pleased to announce its participation at this year’s ProPak Vietnam, processing and packaging exhibition event held at Ho Chi Minh City from 20 to 22 March. Booth number K9.
